JReleaser v1.27.0 has just been released! The full list of issues can be found at the v1.27.0 milestone. This is a small release with a handful of fixes and just a couple of new features. We'd like to thank our most recent contributors as well.
Java Module Support
The standalone uberjar, jreleaser-tool-provider, can now be invoked and/or loaded using Java Modules. A big thank you goes to Raphael Winterhalter (creator of Byte Buddy) for filing issues and providing hints to make this happen. Check out Jenesis, a modern Java build tool, which relies on Java Modules as a foundation.
Release
Improved changelog generation when linked GitHub issues appear in commit messages. Also, default remote set via environment variables is honored when creating tags.
Deploy
XPath is no longer used to parse POM files to determine certian features required during deployment. XPath caused issues when JReleaser was packaged as a NAtive Image (via GraalVM) due to missing resources.
As always, feedback is welcomed, feel free to file a ticket or start a discussion topic.
Keep on coding!
